Annual Golf Day Sunday 23rd August
This annual summer social golf event took place on Sunday 23rd August at Glencorse golf club. The weather held and an enjoyable afternoon was had by all.
A fine round of golf was played which saw 5 teams take to the course to do battle for the title of winner. The play was Texas Scramble format which made for interesting play and kept all teams on edge right to the end. There were prizes for winners, nearest the pin and longest drive (ladies and gents).
The overall winners were Colin McClung, Jenny Wray and Martin Hobbs – well done to them.
Colin picked up another prize for nearest the pin with gent’s longest drive being taken by Dave Anderson and for the ladies the prize went to Sheena Dawe.
And the booby prize going to a family team of Dave Anderson, Jean Noble and Graham Robertson.
Following the success of last years Prosecco and Putting we did again this year and 9 eager players took to the green and played a variety of challenges around the 6 holes. And the lovely weather meant we were able to enjoy our post game drink outside.
The overall winner taking the least shots of 43 was Debbie Belcher, winning a bottle of Prosecco. 🍾
Well done to all the winners.
A lovely meal was then enjoyed by all in the clubhouse.
