The Curling Sub-committee wish to establish a Club Challenge event as an ongoing feature of our annual domestic programme. Any team of four club members will be able to challenge the team that is the then current holder of the Club Challenge Trophy at any point within the season.
To get this off the ground, the four highest Skips in the Kettle League 2016-17 have been invited to select teams from the membership to play on a knock-out basis. The winning team will hold the Club Challenge Trophy.
The Holders can subsequently be challenged by any team of four club members. The Challengers must offer suitable ice for any match. It is intended that two or three sheets of ice will be made available for this purpose in future seasons, but additional ice may be sought on behalf of any challenging team where necessary.
